About Me

You know that last scene in the movie, “Titanic?” The one where Rose lies dying in bed, and next to her on her nightstand are countless pictures of the full and adventurous life she had led. That’s what I want—that’s what I strive for. To be able to look back someday on the life I was gifted with and have the memories of all of the places I visited and all of the people I met along the way. No regrets.

My name is Leslie Morgan and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I don’t know when I realized that traveling was so important to me, but in some ways, I feel like it’s always been there. My first trip out of the country was when I was in high school when our band went on a trip to Mexico City. It was my first exposure to the fact that the rest of the world doesn’t live exactly the way we do here in the U.S. Some people travel and they are put off by the crowds and the smells and, yes, sometimes the poverty. And while I do remember those things from the trip, I also remember the culture, the art, the people, and the thrill of experiencing something so completely different and, in its own way, exotic. I think every time I go to another country now, I still look for that.

My travel companion is usually my sister, Lynda. She is just as committed to traveling as I am, and we very much have the same energy when it comes to how much we can or want to do. She’s fun and adventurous, and my trips wouldn’t be as great as they are without her.

So I feel the world calling to me, and that’s why I travel. The history, the religions, the languages, the smells, and the foods all reach out to me equally, persuading me to come out to play. I would travel full time if I could figure out a way to do it, but instead, I plan and research and look for deals in the meantime.

Whether it’s a month in China, a 45-day cruise around the world, or a trek through the Andes Mountains of Peru to Machu Picchu, I’m always planning my next epic adventure. Subscribe to my blog and come follow along with me.
